Horseshoe Lake

If you want sandy shoreline on a medium sized lake, you need to check out Horseshoe Lake just south of Crosslake, Minnesota. And make sure you get the right Horseshoe Lake because there are a number of them in Minnesota with the same name. This Horseshoe Lake is just to the east of the more notable Pelican Lake. At just under 1,000 acres this is one of those mid-sized gems that have a great reputation for excellent lake property that is usually in high demand. Some resources call Horseshoe Lake "Sandbar" lake and that should tell you a lot about what the shoreline for lake property is like. It also describes the large sand bar that divides the lake into two parts and the shape that gives Horseshoe Lake its name.
